FPG launches new website at PMA Fresh Connections
New website focuses on delivering useful and informative content
FPG has recently launched its new website. The
launch of the site is the result of 12 months of planning, analysis, design and programming. Planning for the site was largely undertaken by FPG’s in house marketing team of Ben Pearson and Linda Tran.
“We reviewed a large number of our competitors’ websites; many are visually appealing but low on content and information. Our aim was to provide a site that makes it easier for our customers to do business with us. Too many websites are nothing but advertisements – an extension of a company’s marketing collateral. They say nothing about what they do or how they do it. We wanted to turn this model on its head. Critics would argue that we are giving too much information to our competitors but in my mind this is indicative of a company that is confident about its place in the world”, said Ben Pearson, FPG’s GM Marketing.
“PMA’s Annual Conference represents a great opportunity to launch the site. It showcases FPG to a broad section of the fresh produce community. Many of the attendees at the conference are familiar with who we are, but they may only deal with one part of our company. The website has been designed so that people can gain a comprehensive snapshot of who we are and what we do in less than a minute of browsing”, said Linda Tran, FPG’s Marketing Co-ordinator.
The resourceful site features a company overview by division, product and service offering; as well as providing up-to-date news, profile key personnel and career opportunities with FPG. Users can easily access and cross-reference product information, season availability, supplier and grower brands and specifications. In the coming months we will be building new site pages to introduce our new Domestic Trade division.
In addition to the site’s descriptive content pages, the graphic design and interface present a fresh, visual appearance; paired with a streamlined approach to the site’s navigation, making it user-friendly.
