This year's Asia Fruit Logistica will mark the third appearance of Fresh Produce Group at the event, and as marketing manager Linda Tran explains, this year it has some big developments to report.

"The first is the appointment of our new CEO-elect Mano Babiolakis. We are all very excited about his appointment in the evolution of the company, and look forward to his leadership and application of industry skills and experiences, to help build the future of FPG,” Ms Tran says.

“Our second, and most recently announced development, is the acquisition of ProduceOne from FreshExchange, part of CostaExchange Group, located at Arndell Park in Sydney. The Arndell Park production facility will complement FPG’s existing domestic service business, focusing on procuring, packing and marketing fresh produce to the Australian marketplace.”

Ms Tran believes Asia Fruit Logistica provides invaluable opportunities for both FPG’s import and export divisions.“Many of FPG’s existing export customers from around the world attend this conference each year, and we see this as a good time to jointly review the past season and discuss coming supply opportunities with each of our customers,” she says.

“We are always looking for excellent trading partners and many potential customers and suppliers; the event provides a platform for introductions to establish new business and relationships.”
