| Hass | A medium-sized avocado recognisable by its pebbly skin which turns from green to dark purple/black colour on ripening and its yielding to gentle pressure. It contains a small stone and has a dense, nutty, creamy and fibre-free flesh. Has an excellent shelf life. |

| Sharwil | Tends to be a smaller, oval-pear shaped avocado, with a shorter, fatter neck than many of its cousins. Has relatively smooth, glossy skin, a small seed and a particularly rich, creamy and nutty flavour. |

| Shepard | Small-to-medium sized fruit with thick green skin. Pear shaped, with a less pronounced nose. The golden, buttery flesh has an excellent flavour with medium oil content and boasts the unique distinction of not turning brown when cut. |

| Wurtz | A pear-shaped, smaller fruit with thin green skin that is rougher than other varieties. It has a small seed and a good consistent flavour. |
